Keeping your body hydrated is going to be the number one factor toward improving the health and appearance of your lips in the winter (and all year round). The Mayo Clinic recommends drinking a minimum of 11.5 cups of water per day. This amount should be increased in dry weather or if you are engaging in a good amount of exercise. Be sure to drink ample amounts of water to treat your lips from the inside out. Added bonus: staying properly hydrated can also boost you mood and energy level.
